Political Action Committee
The New Hampshire Retail Association formed the New Hampshire Retail Political Action Committee (NHRetail PAC). The NHRetail PAC’s goal is to promote the election of state legislators who will support and advocate policies and laws that maintain and advance New Hampshire’s strong retail climate.
The political accomplishments the New Hampshire Retail Association has achieved are notable – attention to our retail economic & sales tax impact study, legislative victories and leadership in energy efficiency in the commercial sector among them.
The New Hampshire Retail Association has developed bonds with many key legislators that have paid off over the years, and the NHRetail PAC plays a role in that. In fact, legislators we have supported financially in the past include three current chairs of House committees, two House vice chairs, a Senate committee chair, the current Senate President and the current Governor. New Hampshire is in a unique position for upcoming elections – we have no constitutional limits for corporate contributions to PAC funds. Most states and even the federal elections do not allow corporate contributions to PAC’s.
