
Amy Downing, CAE
Events Director
Amy is a seasoned association professional with almost two decades of experience working with associations and chambers of commerce. She has played a key role in expanding affinity programs, increasing non-dues revenue, and managing and implementing a wide range of successful special events.
Her background also includes extensive work in advertising and marketing, with roles such as media strategist and buyer, promotional field manager, public relations specialist, and account executive.
In addition to her work with the New Hampshire Retail Association (NHRA), Amy serves as Executive Director for the Maine Pharmacy Association, the Maine Society of Health System Pharmacists, and the New Hampshire Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
In 2023, she earned her IOM designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management, completing 96 hours of training in association leadership. She achieved the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in January 2024.
Amy holds a degree in Travel and Hospitality Management from Mid-State College. In her free time, you can find her on the sidelines of whichever sport her son is currently playing. She loves traveling with her husband and son and relaxing with a good book on the pontoon boat.
